WHEN SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE EMPLOYED...
Don't second guess or bypass your safety.

When preparing for a production, it is imperative that you select professionals who have safety first in mind.  It is my duty to be alert & make sure the set is a safe environment; whether on production, construction, rigging or striking.  As your Medic, I will make sure that safety is first and any injuries are handled/reported with efficiency and professionalism.

HOLLYWOOD MEDICAL 101:
Taking care of the cast & crew.

Whether working in Hollywood, out-of-state or out of the country, being prepared and having the proper medical supplies is imperative.  A good Medic must have functioning gear & fully stocked medical supplies for the cast & crew; so they are able to carry on comfortably & to the best of their abilities.

Additionally, a professional Medic must be in good standing with their Local Union (80's), CSATF, being current and compliant with their medical license(s).  Steve's protocol is to arrive early to work each day and make sure he's ready to do his job efficiently when they make the call, "We're In!"

IN ANOTHER WORLD...
Working well with everyone (team player).

California-born Medic Steve Martin has had the pleasure of working in the Motion Picture & Television Industry since 2003.  He previously worked as a Firefighter for a private Los Angeles Fire Service and has proven himself passionate about his medical profession and compassionate toward the cast & crew members.  Whether his patients are human, zombies or even from outer space, he takes the time to care for and patch-up all who come his way.
